Copper Seamless Gutters
Copper Seamless Gutters
Here at Gutter Solutions of Maine we offer Custom Copper Seamless Gutters. Our gutter systems are designed with Maine Winters in mind. Our copper gutters use 16 oz copper and we hang our gutters every 12 inches vs. 24 inches, meaning your gutters will hold up to the heavy snow and ice. We have 5 inch and 6 inch copper gutters options with your choice of k-style or half round style gutters.
Before moving to Maine, Gutter Solutions of Maine owner Daniel Lovell instaled gutters in his hometown of Atlanta Goergia for many years. Customers in his area had an affinity for copper seamless gutters and he typically installed copper more frequently than aluminum. This unique familiarity with copper seamless gutter systems, gives Lovell a distinct advantage and expertise.
Gutter Styles: K-Style vs. Half Round
The k-style copper seamless gutter design is most common and has the highest rate of flow(capacity). The half round copper seamless gutter style is a more traditional design option that has great overall flow and is less likely to clog due to its smoother, less angular design, compared to the k-style. Half round copper gutters can be more expensive to install, due to their special curved edges & unique hanging hardware.

When it comes to seamless rain gutters, Copper is at the top of the food chain. Some homes, especially historic and higher end properties, can benefit greatly from copper rain gutters. Often times homeowners and property managers don’t even consider this option because they think it is too expensive to install and out of their reach. While up-front cost is a factor to consider, it shouldn’t be the only one.
Benefits of Seamless Copper Rain Gutter Systems:
Copper rain gutters are extremely durable. They are suitable for any region and can easily handle many extreme temperatures ranging from subzero winters to blazing hot summers. Copper is also one of the few gutter choices available which resist rust.
Copper has a beautiful finish and it naturally patinas over time achieving a unique, weathered look in just a few short years. This creates the rustic, yet elegant exterior that homeowners & buyers love. Copper also adds a more custom look to the building. Because most people choose vinyl or aluminum for their gutter needs, homes with copper installed stand out from other properties in the neighborhood.
3. Smart Investment
Copper Gutter Systems can last up to 100 years. When compared to the +/- 10-year lifespan of a typical vinyl system, installing a copper gutter system can be a smart investment into the property, while also saving the homeowner from future replacement costs. Installing copper options also increases the value of the property when it comes time to sell.
4. Less Maintenance
A copper rain gutter system requires very little maintenance. While they still need to be regularly cleaned of leaves and debris, they rarely sag or need replacement. Due to the nature of the material, it is important to hire a professional contractor like Gutter Solutions of Maine, to properly install any type of copper gutter system.
